All Pastoral Formation Institute Activities at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception for the weekend of February 5, 6 & 7, 2010 are cancelled due to snow storm. Although uncertain as to the amount of snowfall we may get here on Long Island, we decided it best to proceed on the side of caution in the interest of all concerned. All events will be re-scheduled.

To celebrate the Year for Priests and reflect more deeply on this year’s Catechetical Sunday theme: “Catechesis and the Proclamation of the Word,” we’ll be posting one brief video profile every couple of weeks of many of our priests and pastors across the diocese. In their own words, they will share with us the wisdom and experience they’ve gained by serving as pastor and “chief catechist” in the parish.

This website is here to serve all Catholics of our local Church on Long Island, and especially to support each parish community in its mission of faith formation. 	HEC Retreat Weekend for Adults with Special Needs in Search of Volunteers. The Retreat Weekend for adults with physical and/or developmental challenges will be held this year at Camp Alvernia from April 22 to April 25. Coordinator, Michele Barone, needs volunteers to assist participants at the weekend. Planning meetings are March 10 and April 7 at 7 p.m., St. Francis of Assisi Church, Greenlawn.
