A workshop for Catechists and Catechetical Leaders

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]Diocese of Rockville Centre Office of Faith Formation offers this workshop to assist Pastors, Deacons, Catechetical Leaders, Catechists and others involved in parish ministry as they address the changing cultural landscape in our programs.

As we promote an understanding and appreciation for the rich cultural diversity and ethnic religious traditions which make up our Diocese, this workshop will equip our Faith Formation Leaders to build intercultural competences to answer the most often asked questions such as:

  • What do I need to know to approach a multi-cultural parish?
  • How do I engage families/parishioners from different cultures?

Cost: $40 per location (includes book)

A medida que promovemos la comprensión y el aprecio por la rica diversidad cultural y las tradiciones religiosas étnicas que conforman nuestra Diócesis, este taller permitirá a nuestros participantes desarrollar competencias interculturales, respondiendo a estas preguntas frecuentes:

  • What are the warning signs to look for in youth?
  • How has the pandemic contributed to existing issues, and how do we help youth transition back to normal routines?

Dr. Yeager has been working with The Sacred Heart Institute, the Dioceses of Rockville Centre, Brooklyn, and the Archdiocese of New York for over 30 years. She works with men in training for the Priesthood and the Permanent Diaconate, as well as ongoing formation for the newly ordained.
