Support Groups

Bereavement Support Groups: Many parishes, hospitals, and community organizations offer support groups for you to participate in where you can gather together in community and gain strength and find solace from members of the group. These groups, special events, and workshops with specific contact information are on our weekly listings below.

If you would like to have a support group added to the website please email faith-formation@drvc.org

Catholic Health Services of Long Island Bereavement Support Group
The group is held through CHS’s Good Shepherd Hospice. Good Shepherd Hospice is a major healthcare provider in New York State whose mission is to care for terminally ill patients and their families, facing life’s final journey, with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers who treat the body, mind, and spirit. Palliative care, hospice care, and bereavement support services are offered to all residents of Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The Good Shepherd Hospice program is accessible to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, lifestyle, or economic status. Good Shepherd Hospice is a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island.
