  • What and who is a Catechist?
  • What is my understanding of the Catholic teachings?
  •  How do I plan a Catechetical Session?

Connections, A Child and Family Bereavement Program @ Good Shepherd Hospice Administrative Offices | Brentwood | New York | United States

The Good Shepherd Hospice has an upcoming Child and Family Bereavement Program, CONNECTIONS.

This is an 8 week program developed for grieving children (ages 4-17) and their caretakers who have experienced a death of a loved one. Children engage in therapeutic activities that encourage emotional healing, increase understanding, development of healthy coping skills and preservation of memories. Adult caregivers attend their own concurrent support group, where they will learn about the nature of their children’s grief and how to best support them.

Este programa consta de 8 semanas dedicado a niños (5 – 17 años) y sus tutores. Este programa está diseñado específicamente para personas de habla hispana y será facilitado por 3 especialistas de duelo bilingües. Este servicio es libre de costo. Se ofrecerá una cena familiar cada semana y habrá transporte disponible para los que lo necesiten.
