The Acts of the Apostles and the Beginning of the Church @ OLPH School Building (Room 3)

The Acts of the Apostles is the second book written by the Evangelist Luke. It gives us a summary of how Jesus’ disciples, after having received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, grew into a Church . We will be reading passages from Acts , commenting on them, and discussing how the model of the early Church can help today’s Church grow in holiness. Please bring a Bible, preferably NAB, NIV or NRSV.

When: 5 Sessions: September 5,10,12, 17, and 19, 2019

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Connections, A Child and Family Bereavement Program @ Good Shepherd Hospice Administrative Offices | Brentwood | New York | United States

The Good Shepherd Hospice has an upcoming Child and Family Bereavement Program, CONNECTIONS.

This is an 8 week program developed for grieving children (ages 4-17) and their caretakers who have experienced a death of a loved one. Children engage in therapeutic activities that encourage emotional healing, increase understanding, development of healthy coping skills and preservation of memories. Adult caregivers attend their own concurrent support group, where they will learn about the nature of their children’s grief and how to best support them.
