Adults with special needs will meet to pray and celebrate before Lent begins.

The Prayer Service will start promptly at noon and be followed by brunch.  Beads, favors, and entertainment complete the festivities.

Divorce & Beyond Support Group @ St. Elizabeth of Hungary

A ten-week support group providing friendship, prayer and dedicated to helping each other deal with the challenges and difficulties faced during the experience of separation and divorce.

The program is designed to help men and women find encouragement as they explore and experience the emotions and issues associated with divorce and moving forward.

Upcoming Bereavement Support Program

Offered at St. Mary, East Islip

Support Groups are opened to anyone who has suffered a loss at least three months prior to the start of the group. Thee is no cost but a commitment to attend each meeting throughout the program is required. Groups are offered in a closed and confidential setting with highly trained facilitators and limited to 15 people.

Eight Week Group beginning Tuesday evenings at 7pm
March 10th through April 28th 2020

The Mother and Daughter will look at how they are “Wonderfully Made” creation of God. They will begin to dialogue between Mother and Daughter regarding how they are to live a life that exemplifies this out in the world.

We welcome Mothers (or a mother figure*) and their daughter (5th grade through 8th grade)
*Anyone who serves as a mother figure, for example

Bertha Peralta-Rodriguez has been a catechist and youth minister for over 20 years. She is a devoted wife as well as a mother to an 11 year old “diva”. Bertha leads talks, workshops and discussions in order to encourage others towards a better understanding that they are a wonderful gift created by God. She received her Masters in Counseling from Fordham University, and currently works at Hunter College.
Mrs. Peralta-Rodriguez is a catechist for the Confirmation program at Our Lady Queen of Angels in Sunnyside, Queens and is also an instructor for the School of Missionary Disciples for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

  • Enhancing Self-Identity and Overcoming Loss (goals-based model of help)
