Sixth Annual New York Catholic Bible Summit
350 East 56th Street
New York,NY 10022
USA

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation or, as it is more popularly known, Verbum Dei (Word of God). For that reason, the theme of this year’s New York Catholic Bible Summit is an invitation, based on the opening words of Verbum Dei: “Hear the Word of God with Reverence. Proclaim it with Faith.”
Verbum Dei called upon all Catholics to read, study and share the Word of God as taught by the Roman Catholic Church and the meaning of number 4 in the bible. Sacred Scripture is at the heart of the catechetical ministry. It is vital for all in our ministry to know the Bible.
Therefore, this invitation to the New York Catholic Bible Summit is for directors and coordinators of religious education and the RCIA, catechists, and all those adults your ministry touches in your parish. It is also for others in parish ministry: lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, musicians and those in social justice work. And, of course, this invitation is for the priests, deacons and administrators of your parish. So be sure to spread the news.
This year, we have added a French-language workshop. Beginning April 7, details on keynoters and workshops, along with online registration information, will be available at www.nyfaithformation.org. Mark your calendars, spread the news and join your colleagues on June 20th at the New York Catholic Bible Summit, register today. View or download flyer
