RCIA Level I @ St Sylvester Parish (Parish Center East Wing) | Medford | New York | United States

For individuals wishing to be members of an RCIA team in a parish.

Topics Will Include:

  • Theology of the Sacraments of Initiation. An historical overview of the rite, including its beginning during the first years of Christianity.
  •  Breaking Open the Word with Catechumens: Emphasis will be placed on the importance of faith sharing and teachings, which are based on the lectionary readings. Participants will have opportunity to apply and experience Breaking Open the Word of God and explore ways to implement in a parish.
  • RCIA Process During the Season of Lent
  • Liturgical Rites
  • Post-baptism Catechesis or Mystagogy.
