Pentecost Pilgrimage: Holy Spirit in the Holy Land with Dr. Mary Healy
Greetings in the Lord during this holiest week of the year!
As we fix our eyes on Jesus in his passion and resurrection, you are invited to join Dr. Mary Healy at Pentecost next year for a charismatic pilgrimage, With the Holy Spirit in the Holy Land. The dates are May 23 – June 1, 2020.
There in the Upper Room, the very place where the Holy Spirit was first poured out on the early Christians, we will praise and worship God and pray for a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Church and in the world.
We will also visit some of the most important locations where Jesus walked and where the power of the Holy Spirit was manifested. We’ll study Scripture together as I explain the biblical background of each of these sites:
- Prominent places in Jesus’ life: Bethlehem, Nazareth, Cana, Capernaum and Jerusalem
- Shiloh and Abu Gosh, where the Ark of the Covenant remained before going to Jerusalem
- Mount Carmel, where Elijah had his showdown with the prophets of Baal
- The Sea of Galilee and Mount of the Beatitudes
- The Mount of Olives and the Temple in Jerusalem
Each day we’ll have Spirit-filled worship and Mass with Fr. Patrick Gonyeau, a dynamic young priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit. We’ll enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and breathe in the sights, sounds and smells of the Holy Land where God chose to dwell in the midst of his people.
The full itinerary of the Holy Spirit in the Holy Land pilgrimage is available here. You can register now to reserve your spot at the same website. People from all over the world, as at the first Pentecost, will be joining us. I look forward to seeing you there!
