Let Us Celebrate Earth Day

On Saturday, Apr 22, 2023, we celebrate Earth Day.  This is an opportunity for us as Catholics to follow the Church’s teaching on the Care for God’s Creation.

We show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation. Care for the Earth is not just an Earth Day slogan, it is a requirement of our faith. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation. This environmental challenge has fundamental moral and ethical dimensions that cannot be ignored.

We are the responsible caretakers for the wonders of God’s Creation and Earth Day is a chance for us to be able to show our gratitude to God for the wonders of His creation.  Below you will find a list of activities, videos, and articles relating to what we as Catholics teach and what we can do to Care for God’s creation.
