The Online Book Club: The Church of Mercy, by Pope Francis

February 10 – March 15

*Registration closes February 5 or when filled to capacity*
Grow in understanding of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy by reading the reflections of the pope who instituted it.  The Online Book Club offers a setting to encounter an author’s ideas and participate in conversation with others about the selected text.  Read about Pope Francis’s vision for the Church and discover how you can bring healing and mercy to wherever suffering, division and injustice exist.

A Church of and for the Poor

February 24 – March 15

*Registration closes February 19 or when filled to capacity*

Explore the biblical and theological roots of the Church’s continuing commitment to the poor, evaluate several proposals about ways to respond to poverty, and converse with others about what it means to be a Church of and for the poor, particularly throughout the 2016 Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy.  With recent concerns about economic inequity, this workshop speaks to a timely theme for 21st century Christian discipleship.  Featuring content from an issue of C21 Resources.
