Formation for Parish Ministries

“It is the responsibility of the parish community and its leadership to ensure that the faith that it teaches,
preaches, and celebrates, is alive and truly a sign, for all those who come in contact with it, that this is truly
the living Body of Christ.” National Director for Catechesis

The Office of Faith Formation offers programs to prepare volunteers in the ongoing process of formation for parish ministry. Training programs are available to meet the evolving needs of the parish as the Pastor engages volunteers in the following areas:

  • Advocacy for persons with disabilities
  • Baptism
  • Bereavement
  • Catechist Training
  • Liturgy
  • Marriage Preparation
  • Ministry of Consolation
  • RCIA
  • Respect Life
  • Youth Ministry

You will receive a “Certificate of Completion” if you successfully complete both levels of the two-tier process:

Level I: Ministry Team Members

Ministry training for parish volunteers in a particular ministry.

Level II: Ministry Team Leaders

Leadership training for parish volunteers who minister as a leader in a particular ministry.

Note: Participation in ministry programs and workshops is not limited to those pursing a “certificate of completion”.
