Come Here My Little One

Come here my little one so I can tell you a story
Of the life God has planned for you in the light of His glory

One day God said I will plant a seed
And a woman of faith I shall send unto thee

You will grow inside of her
And she will be your first love
Truly a blessing sent from heaven above

From out of her womb you will come into the world
Everyone waiting to hear if you’re a boy or a girl
But it won’t really matter what you will be
Because my child, you are made in the image of me

The time will come soon and your head will peak through
As your mother looks down to the miracle of you
Her head floats back as the doctor cuts the cord
At once she will feel love like she has never felt before

You’ll be softly wrapped in a blanket of pink or blue
And you will be surrounded by people that already love you
Gently you will be put in the arms of your mother
As you look up to meet the loving eyes of your father

Looking down at you with tears in his eyes
His heart will swell with never ending pride
He will reach down to touch you and grab your little finger
And that moment of love will be the one that will linger

The time will come for you to go home
To begin your life with your new dad and mom
A pretty new room bursting with colors all sunny and bright
And teddy bears and butterflies to fill your eyes with delight

In the rocking arms of your mother she will put you to sleep
As she sings you a lullaby and says thank you to God that you’re hers to keep
Your eyes will close softy as angels dance in your head
With a whisper of goodnight she will put you to bed

In the morning you’ll wake to your mother’s eyes that will meet you
And she’ll take you to her breast where she will nurture and feed you
Your daddy must go for just a little while
But he’s sure to take with him your sweet precious smile

Love is why I sent you from heaven to earth
And love is what you’ll feel from the moment of birth
As you grow up remember I will always be near
Just reach out your hand and I will be there

I will send you a friend that will never leave you
He is my son, His name is Jesus
His love will abide in you and He will be like no other
A much higher love than your father and mother

Be strong and willing to follow my plan
That’s what will complete you as a woman or man
Love one another is the lesson my Son preaches
Live your life in the light of his teaching

I will walk with you where ever you are
I’ll be in your daylight, your moonlight and your evening stars
There’s not a place you can hide that I won’t be by your side
And if ever you lose sight of me just look deep inside
